Description
- Butyl-Filled Rubber Profiles
Material
- EPDM solid rubber
- EPDM sponge rubber
- Broken steel support
- Sealing Mass Butyl-Dichtmasse
Feature
- Superior Sealing Performance: The low permeability of butyl sealant ensures minimal water vapor and gas transmission, making these profiles highly effective in preventing moisture ingress and maintaining airtight seals.
- Long-Term Durability: Butyl sealant’s resistance to UV radiation, ozone, and chemical degradation extends the lifespan of the profiles, reducing maintenance costs and downtime.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: The inherent flexibility of both the rubber matrix and butyl sealant allows the profiles to accommodate thermal expansion, contraction, and minor structural movements without compromising sealing integrity.
- Ease of Installation: Butyl-filled rubber profiles can be easily cut to length and installed using standard adhesive or mechanical fastening methods, streamlining the construction process and reducing labor costs.
- Environmental Compatibility: Being solvent-free and non-toxic, butyl sealant aligns with modern environmental regulations, making these profiles a sustainable choice for green building projects.

Understanding Butyl Sealant
- Butyl sealant, a type of rubber-based adhesive, is renowned for its exceptional weather resistance, chemical inertness, and airtight sealing capabilities. Derived from isobutylene polymers, butyl sealant exhibits remarkable impermeability to gases and moisture, making it ideal for applications requiring long-term protection against water ingress and air leakage. Its ability to remain flexible over a wide temperature range—typically from -40°C to 120°C—ensures consistent performance even under extreme environmental conditions.
About Us
Hebei Shida Seal Group offers a wide range of butyl-filled rubber profiles, edge protection sealing profiles with Sealing Mass Butyl-Dichtmasse, edge protectors and sealing profiles made of PVC or EPDM rubber that can be reinforced with steel strip or steel wire cores. The profiles can be used in a wide variety of applications, including railways, utility vehicles, special machines, electrical cabinets, HVAC devices, telecommunication and server cabinets, vehicles and other sheet metal solutions. The edge protectors and sealing profiles are designed to protect from the sharp edges and ridges within the cabinet. The body of a protection profile is made of PVC material and the skeleton is made of metal profile that allows easy installation without additional tools. The self-gripping sealing profiles are made of PVC or EPDM rubber, with an integrated steel strip core. These are mounted on cabinet door openings, to maintain the IP-protection class of the enclosure.
